The Wancha Dhaar Trek starts and ends at Hanumanchatti and engross the trekkers with diverse wildlife, lush landscapes, exceptional mountain views and a magnificent summit surrounded by majestic peaks of mighty Mt Kalanaag(Black Peak), Bandarpunchh, Swargarohini Group, Jonli, and Dropadi ka Daanda peaks of Himalayas.

Trek Itinerary

Day 1: Dehradun to Hanuman Chatti
On Day One, you will travel from Dehradun to Hanuman Chatti which is the starting point of the Wancha Dhar Trek. Hanuman Chatti is a quaint village known for the confluence of the Yamuna River and the Hanuman Ganga River. Upon reacing you will be accommodated in a homestay. Rest of the day you can enjoy the stunning view of surrounding mountains.
Day 2: Hanumanchatti to Pindkichhani
Today your trek will begin from Hanuman Chatti and today’s destination will be Pindki Chhani. The trail is 8 km long and during the hike you will halt at Kunaya for lunch. Then you will continue hiking on a gradually ascending trail and reach Pindki Chhani by late afternoon where you will witness a beautiful sunset. You will be staying in your tent overnight and enjoy a starry night if the weather remains clear.
Day 3: Pindkichhani to Wancha Dhaar and return to Pindki chhani
Today is the biggest day of the trek as you will trek to Wancha Dhar from Pindki Chhani. SAfter experiencing a sublime sunrise from the campsite you will set out towards Wancha Dhar. You wil trek on a snow covered trail and most likely to make it by mid-day. Then an attempt to Wancha Top will be made depending on the amount of snow on the trail. The summit of Wancha Top offers gorgeous view of Assi Ganga Valley. Then you will return to the beautiful snow covered Wancha Dhar meadow offering a panoramic view of mountains like Bandarpunch peak, Shivalikrange, KalindiSrikala and Chaukhamba peak. After capturing the outstanding you will hike back to Pindki Chhani camp where you will stay overnight.
Day 4: Pindki Chani to Hanuman Chatti
On the last day on the trail you will retrace your steps back to Hanuman Chatti via Kunaya where lunch will be served. You will reach Hanuman Chatti campsite by evening and will take much-needed rest after a long day.
Day 5: Hanuman Chatti to Dehradun
Today you will be transported back to Dehradun from Hanuman Chatti by car covering a distance of 170 km in 5-6 hours.
