Gulabi Kantha Winter Trek Overview
The Gulabi Kantha Winter trek is an uncommon trek in Garhwal Uttarakhand. Indo-Tibetan Border Police force arrange various winter games in this lesser-known region. The trek is moderate and you will be blessed with snow-filled meadows, oak and deodar trees all smeared with powdery snow. During the trek, you'll also witness 360-degree view of Himalayan peaks like Bandarpunch, Shivalik, Chaukhamba. You will also observe Sarutal, Bali Pass, Fachu Kandi Pass from the trail or campsite. This low-altitude trek is perfect for beginners.

Trek Itinerary
Day 1: Dehradun to Hanuman Chatti
On the first day, you will travel from Dehradun to Hanuman Chatti covering a distance of approximately 170 km in 5-6 km. From there you will be transported to a quaint village called where you will spend the night.
Day 2: Hanuman Chatti to Seema Thatch
Today your Gulabi Kantha Trek begins. At first you will hike to Seema Thatch via Kandola where you will halt for lunch. You will trek through a beautiful forest trail consists of pine, maple. Upon reaching Seema Thatch campsite you will be accommodated in tent and provided with delicious dinner.
Day 3: Seema Thatch to Gulabi Kantha and back back to Seema
Today you will hike on snowy trail reach the summit of Gulabi Kantha Peak. From the summit you will get stunning views of peaks like Kalindi Srikala, Bandar Poonch, Chaukhamba and Shivalik range. After spending some memorable time at the summit you will start descending towards Seema Thatch campsite. Once you reach there in the evening you will celebrate the success of summiting with your trek mates and then doze off after a sumptuous dinner.
Day 4: Seema Thatch to Hanuman Chatti
On the last day in the wilderness, you will retrace your footsteps and hike back to Hanuman Chatti leaving the beautiful Seema Thatch behind. During the hike you will be provided lunch at Kandola and you will get a few more to enjoy the snowy landscape for one last time. Once you reach Hanuman Chatti you will contemplate and reflect upon the varied terrain that you traversed on over the last few days. Finally you will sleep early after a hot and tasty dinner as you have a long journey next day.
Day 5: Hanuman Chatti to Dehradun
On the last day of your trek you will leave Hanuman Chatti after breakfast and head to Dehradun. You will reach Dehradun in the afternoon after covering a distance of 172 km in 5 to 6 hours.
