Ghonsla Top Trek Overview
Ghonsla (Nest) Top trek is a newly discovered Uttarakhand offbeat trek.. This short-duration trek starts from the Assi Ganga Valleyis and can be done all seasons. Ghonsla Trek is ideal for snow lover as it offers great opportunity to wade through snowy trail in winter months. The trek connects two famous routes: Dodital Trek and GulabiKantha. From this trek, you can also proceed to Gulabi Kantha trek and reach reach Yamunotri Dham. From the Ghonsla Top, you'll enjoy outstanding views of Bandarpunch East and West, Kalanag (Black Peak), DropadiKaDanda, Mt. Jaonli, and the Swargarohini group.

Trek Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from Dehradun Railway Station and Drive to Agoda village
Today you will be transported from Dehradun Railway Station to Agoda village via Uttarkashi town. Total journey will take around 8-9 hrs covering a distance of 190 km.
Day 2: Trek from Agoda village to Bhaira Camp
On the first day of your trek, you will head to the forest campsite called Bhaira Camp. This 6 km trek will take 4-5 hours and once you reach there you’ll see huts that local people use during the summer months. After enjoying a hot lunch at the campsite, you’ll have ample time to stroll to Bhaira Top from where you can savour the lovely views of the local villages and the beautiful Assi Ganga Valley. Rest of the day you will rest in the campsite listening to the chirping of birds, calls of barking deer, and flying squirrels.
Day 3: Exploration Day Ghonsla top summit
Today you will trek to Ghonsla Top from Bhaira camp and return to Bhaira campsite after exploring the ridge. Bhaira top is a beautiful ridge from where you will get 360 degree views of snow covered mountains like Swargarohini peak, Bandarpoonch, Kala NaagDhauladhar Range, or Hanuman Chatti range.
Day 4: Trek from Baira camp to Agora village and then drive to Uttarkashi / Dehradun
Today, you will trek downhill following an easy descending trail to reach Agora village. As you would arrive at Agora village by early afternoon you can get back to Uttarkashi on the same day. You will also have the option to continue to Dehradun on the same day.
