Dodital - Darwa Top Trek Overview
Dodital-Darwa Top trek takes you to the Assi Ganga Valley. The idyllic trek starts from Agoda village to a crystal green Dodital Lake and further up to Darwa Top. The Dodital Lake or 'Dhundi-tal' is considered the sacred birthplace of Lord Ganesha. It is a freshwater lake that serves as the primary source for the Assi Ganga river that later goes downwards to merge with merges Bhagirathi. A Ganpati temple is located on the right side of this pristine lake nestled in the lap of the Barahat range. Dodital-Darwa Top trek boasts astonishing sceneries of mountain villages, lush green vegetation and several bubbling streams and tan brown rock-faces. As you trek higher, you will go through the forest of pine trees, deodar trees, and golden and silver oaks till you reach Dodital. Darwa Top is farther from Dodital and offers fascinating views of Mt. Bandarpoonch, Mt. Srikanth, DraupadikaDanda, Mt. Jaunli, Deoli and Black Peak. The stretch to Darwa Top is a bit challenging given the elevation gain in a short span of time but the ambiance around is well and truly rewarding.

Trip Itinerary
Day 1 : Pick up from Dehradun Railway Station and Drive to Agoda village
Today you will be transported from from Dehradun Railway Station to Agoda village via Uttarkashi town. Total journey will take around 7-8 hrs covering a distance of 160 km.
Day 2 : Trek from Agoda village to Manji camp
On the first day your trek you will go to Manji camp via Bhebra. Manji campsite is located in dense forest camp. Here you will see huts of local people that they use during summer months. You may also get to hear chirping of the birds when you will rest in the camp. This 9 km trek will take 5-6 hour to complete.
Day 3: Trek from Manji Camp to Dodital Camp
Today you will go from Manji to Dodital. The trail to Dodital is around 5-6 km through thick forest and adorable views. The radius of the lake is around 1.5 km. Dodital is considered as the birth place of God Ganesha. That’s why locals have been worshiping at this place for centuries. There is beautiful Temple of Lord Ganesha who is situated beside the Lake.
Day 4 : Exploration Day Darwa top summit
Today you will trek to Darwa Top from Dodital and return to Dodital campsite after exploring the ridge. Darwa top is a beautiful ridge from where you will get 360 degree views of snow covered mountains like Swargarohini peak, Bandarpoonch, Kala Naag Dhauladhar Range, or Hanuman Chatti range.
Day 5: Trek from Dodital camp to Bhebra camp
Today you will trek downhill and follow the same trail to reach Bhebra camp . The descent is easy so you will be campsite by afternoon and then celebrate the last night of trek.
Day 6: Return : Trek from Bhebra camp to Agoda village
On the last day you will trek down to Agoda village and will be transferred to Dehradun via Mussoorie.
