Trek Itinerary

Day-1. Dehradun to Salang Village via Uttarkashi and Bhatwari
On the first day of your trek you will drive from Dehradun all the way to the Bhatwari. From there another short drive of 20 minutes and a short hike for 2 hours will take you to the trek base camp called Salang village. You will take rest in the eening and sleep early after a delicious dinner.
Day-2. Salang to Bhulkani
Your Bhu Top trek starts today. Your today’s destination is Bhulkani campsite which is 8 km hike on an ascending trai requiring 5-6 hours to complete. The trail goes through forest and you will come across various birds and animals along the trail. (Trek – 8km | Duration – 5-6 hours)
Day-3 Bulkani to Chiplya
On the second day of your Bhu Top trek you will hike towards the next campsite called Chipliya. This hike will take 4-5 hours as it is a 6 km long ascending trail again through dense forest. Upon reaching you will have lunch and explore the campsite for the remaining day.
Day-4. Chiplya to Bhutop
This is the most important day of your trek as you will reach the Bhu Top today. It is going to be a short yet steep climb for 4 km which will take around 3 hours. From the Bhu Top you will get glimpses of a beautiful lake and mesmerizing views of Gangotri ranges, Jaonli, Kalanag and Nag Tibba, and Bandarpoonch peak. After reaching, you will enjoy the beauty of Bhu Top campsite for the rest of the day.
Day-5. Bhutop to Kakodiya
Today you will start descending down on a winding trail through forest to reach the next campsite called Kakodiya. This trail is around 6 km long and takes around 3 hours to cover.
Day-6. Kakodiya to Tela Camp
On the second last day of your trek you will farther descend to the next campsite called Tela. This trail is 7 km long and it descends gradually. You can complete this hike in 4-5hours. After reaching the campsite you can roam around the forest as it will be your last day in the wilderness.
Day-7 Tela Camp to Bhatwari via Bhuki Village
On the final day of your trek you will get down to Bhatwari from Tela campsite via Bhuki village, This 9 km trail involves some sections of steep descend but you can easily negotiate that in 6-7 hours. Upon reaching , you will be accommodated in a lodge in Bhatwari town.
Day-8 Bhatwari to Dehradun
Today after breakfast, you will be driven back to Dehradun from Bhatwari. This journey of 200km will take around 8 hours. Your Bhu Top Trek with Uttarakhand Offbeat ends here.
