Day 1: Dehradun to Agora village via Uttarkashi
First day’s journey begins from Dehradun Railway Station and ends at Agoda village. During the long drive you will get stunning view of the Ganga River and Tehri Dam. Upon reaching Agoda village, you will spend the night in a homestay.
Day 2: Agoda to Manjhi via Bhebra
Today your trek will start from Agoda village. You will be hiking on a forest trail to the settlement at Bhebra which is a quaint village. From Bhebra the trail becomes zig-zag and steeper towards Dharkot. Then the trail becomes easier till you reach the campsite of Majhi which has a few temporary huts for locals who take the cattle out for grazing during summer months.
Day 3: Manjhi to Dodital
From Majhi the trail becomes more scenic. You will get breathtaking views of Asi Ganga river in the valley below. Then a gradual descent will take you to the Dodital known for its religious significance and the Brown Trout, and. Rest of the day you will be contemplating the beauty of the lake close to your campsite.
Three sides of lake are surrounded by forests and steep mountains, and an opening towards the Asi Ganga valley on the remaining side with a wonderful view of the Dayara Bugyal.
Day 4: Dodital to Bingad via Darawa top
Today you will hike uphill steeply from Dodital alongside several streams. The trail is initially through the forest and then leads to the open meadows. From the meadows you will have to endure a steep climb to the Darwa top from where your hard work will be rewarded by stunning views of the mighty mountains such as Bandarpunch and Gangotri group. From the top, one trail goes to the Yamuna valley and terminates at Hanuman Chatti, and another trail goes to Bingad. You will take the second unmarked trail and finally arrive at the Bingad campsite.
Day 5: Bingad to Kanatal to Deodamini and back to Kanatal
Today you continue hiking on the trail in Bingad valley until you reach Kanatal. From there, you wil go farther exploring Deodamini which is a higher meadow situated close to the main summit of Bandarpunch. After exploring Deodamini you return to the base camp at Kanatal.
Day 6: Kanatal to Bamsaru Khal to Bamsaru base
Today is the most important day of the day as you will reach Bamsaru Khal. From Kanatal you will ascend steeply towards Bamsaru Khal. You will get up close view of Gangotri group of peaks. From the top of Bamsaru Khal the trail descends steeply towards the base. Once you reach the base you will rest at the campsite is by the stream and relish the success of summit.
Day 7: Bamsaru Base to Chupkantidhar to Songad
Today you will initially climb upwards to a ridge top called Chupkantidhar . The trail from there descends to Songad which is a major stream emerging from Chhaian bamak. From Songad you will get a different view of Banderpoonch and Kalanag Peaks. Once you reach Songad you will stay in the camp by the stream.
Day 8: Songad to Sukki to Harsil
Today’s trek initially involves an ascend to the outer ridge of Bandarpunch massif. Then you will continue to descend to Sukhi village in to Bhagirathi valley. Your trek ends here and from here you we will be transported to the beautiful village of Harsil 15 km away. Harsil is famous for apple orchards and beautiful valleys. You can explore the surroundings of the village in the Evening at leisure.
Day 9: Harsil to Rishikesh
On the final day of the trek you will head back to Dehradun from Harsil by car and reach there in the evening.
